Carrie + Shawn • Weddings at The Bluewater Waterfront Grill Wilmington Wrightsville Beach, NC

Ear­ly 2013, I met with Car­rie and Shawn at their wed­ding recep­tion site The Blue­wa­ter Water­front Grill in Wilm­ing­ton, NC. We’ve been there many times and we love the food, it was a beau­ti­ful day out, so my part­ner and I decid­ed to take a dri­ve to Wilm­ing­ton, Wrightsville Beach to meet with the cou­ple for the first time. Car­rie is one of my many brides who already had a clear idea of what kind of pho­tos she is look­ing for. She has a very chic style about her. A sim­ple and delight­ful bride to work with.

 The day of the wed­ding, the weath­er was not exact­ly coop­er­at­ing with us, it was very rainy. But as always we worked with what we had. The beau­ti­ful cou­ple got dressed and pre­pared for the cer­e­mo­ny, and their enthu­si­asm through it all was very cheer­ful to me, con­sid­er­ing. They both had an amaz­ing atti­tude towards every­thing, even though it was a rainy day. When Car­rie and Shawn met up before the cer­e­mo­ny, for the first look and to snap a few pho­tos, orig­i­nal­ly we planned on going to the Arbore­tum near­by. But unfor­tu­nate­ly it was rain­ing way to hard at that point. So we made due and stayed put. We actu­al­ly took some real­ly great pre-wed­ding ceremony/first look pho­tos in front of the Hamp­ton Inn, also in Wilm­ing­ton, NC.

 It end­ed up being a stun­ning beach wed­ding, the sky cleared and the sun was shin­ing. I felt some­what relieved not only because it stopped rain­ing, but also because the rain made it easy for every­body to walk on the sand, and of course we did not have a prob­lem with the sand blow­ing in the wind. That’s always a bonus for a beach wed­ding. After all the plan­ning, wait­ing and rain. It end­ed up being a fairy tale wed­ding for Car­rie and Shawn. Fol­low­ing the cer­e­mo­ny we pho­tographed the fam­i­ly por­traits, and then off to the recep­tion we went. As I men­tioned ear­li­er Car­rie & Shawn are one of the cou­ples who cel­e­brat­ed their wed­dings at The Blue­wa­ter Water­front Grill. The amaz­ing view of the Intra­coastal Water­way may be what attracts brides. And as a pho­tog­ra­ph­er, I thought it made for very attrac­tive pho­tos.

 Over­all, the day went smooth and it was anoth­er suc­cess­ful wed­ding pho­tographed. The cou­ple had a grand exit and off to the hon­ey moon they went.
